When I think about silence, I remember my childhood. The moment a boy stand at the poolborder in public indoor swimming pool. Around are loudness, playing kids and shouting parents. Nobody take care about this little boy. He’s alone and full of self-doubts. In front of him the water, a strange territory where he have to prove one’s courage. A moment pause, then one with boldness. A jump. He’s plunging. A feeling of weightlessness is  unfurling. The sounds of the world around become silent. Now he’s here in silence, with closed eyes. He open up his eyes and see swimming shapes, like slowly portly animals drawing the water surface. Silence. Result of my memories is a flip-book, which I digitalize for web.

Das Greenpeace Magazin und das :output lab laden ausgewählte Design-Hochschulen zu einem Magazin-Projekt unter dem Titel „speechless“ ein. „Speechless“ ist der Titel einer neuen Rubrik im Greenpeace Magazin, die in jeder Ausgabe die Arbeit einer Hochschule zu einem bestimmten Greenpeace relevanten Thema präsentiert. Dieses mal geht es um das Thema „Hunger“. Die Botschaft soll visuell umgesetzt werden, das heisst, dass die Arbeit bis auf eventuell eine Headline oder eine Bildunterschrift ohne erklärende Texte auskommen soll.
